With many construction projects on Disney property temporarily halted, a welcome sight at Disneyland Resort came in the form of a permit posting for what will become the new Disneyland Disney Vacation Club tower.

The permit, which calls the project "Timeshare Project at Disneyland Hotel," has the following description:

Demolition of existing back-of-house maintenance facilities, a fitness center, event lawn, and a guest laundry facility, and construction of a new 280,000-square foot, twelve-story vacation ownership resort

Details for the new DVC property were revealed earlier this year. With a planned opening of 2023, the tower will have a Mickey-shaped spa, outdoor pool bar, and multi-level grand villas with balconies overlooking property.

The tower will occupy about two acres adjacent to the Disneyland Hotel and include a total of 350 rooms of varying suite trims. The concept art reveals that the design will compliment the existing Disneyland Hotel with its own flair, including a two-story open air ground floor for guests to walk through.

This project will become Disney's 17th DVC Resort.
