While it has been months of speculation and uncertainty regarding guests returning to Disney Parks, Walt Disney World has now submitted plans for a phased reopening to the Florida Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force.
Disney has stated they plan to manage the theme parks in a very different way from what they've known before, and will be focusing on park operations that are responsible while still giving guests opportunities to create magic Disney memories.

Many details have still yet to be unveiled, but here's what we know so far:
- Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom will be opening to the general public July 11th
- Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot will be opening to the general public July 15th
- Attendance will be managed through a park reservation system, requiring all guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance
- “High-touch” experiences such as makeover opportunities, playgrounds and character meet and greets will remain temporarily unavailable
- Parades, fireworks, and other events that may compromise social distancing recommendations will be suspended until further notice
- Cast Members and guests 3 years of age and older will be required to wear appropriate face coverings in theme parks and common areas of resort hotels
- Cast Members and guests will undergo temperature screenings prior to entering theme parks
- Cashless transactions are recommended and cleaning and disinfection procedures will be increased in high-traffic areas
- New ticket sales will be paused, however, existing ticket holders and Annual Passholders will be able to make reservation requests prior to new tickets being sold
- New Disney Resort reservations will be paused and focus will be made on guests with existing reservations, Disney Vacation Club members can still make new reservations
- Disney Vacation Club resorts at Walt Disney World will reopen to members and guests and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will begin to reopen on June 22nd
- Disney Vacation Club resorts in Vero Beach, Florida, and Hilton Head, South Carolina, will open to members and guests starting on June 15th

More information is sure to come as the proposed reopening dates draw nearer. Disney Springs recently reopened for guests with similar face covering and temperature screening requirements.
